The book “Keys. Discoveries from a century of history” is supplemented by a “Teacher’s Textbook” to promote further enquiry and study of historical events at school. The “Teacher’s Textbook” was compiled by Salaspils Secondary School No. 1 history teacher Annija Bergmane. The textbook contains sample study plans and exercises for teachers on the topics discussed by “Atslēgas”. These featured topics will also be useful for sparking in-class discussions. The study plans were prepared according to the new State primary education standard (“
Skola2030”). To facilitate its use, the “Teacher’s Textbook” contains QR codes that refer to a particular episode on the website
atslegas.tv. This site offers free viewing of all episodes of the documentary “Atslēgas”, also provided in English and Russian versions to make the multimedia material available in Latvian, minority and diaspora schools.
